Pine Trees

Arley Arboretum is one of the oldest in the UK and has a wonderful collection of giant trees.
One of the Crimean Pines shown below is supposed to be the tallest in the UK at over 142 feet (43.3 m). Not sure which one it is, however; as you can see they're both about the same height. The one above has to be one of the largest trees in the UK in terms of wood volume.

These three Corsican Pines (Pinus nigra laricio) broke the rules and grew up right beside each other, growing to 35.95m (measured in 2007). Arley Arboretum, West midlands, UK
